Avocado is a tropical fruit, sometimes considered a vegetable, with a green, savory inner meat. Avocado has a leathery green to brown outer skin and a large seed in the center. The fruit is usually cut in half, the seed discarded and then the meat scooped out with a spoon. Avocado is usually served raw.
Avocado is the primary ingredient in Guacamole.
